The drunkards around the huge frontman Johann Hegg are one of the few constants of Swedish Death cult and don't even think of escaping their natural limitation of their unique sound. Alone the use of their beloved Abyss Studios or the use of repolished deomo-material ("Risen from the sea") stands for pride and sense of tradition. Similar to Manowar (apart from some excursions of over-estimation of oneself), Amon Amarth's songs will catch your heart and soul by majestic monumentality rather than packed detail. To a Dane magazine, guitarist and main songwriter Olli Mikonnen described "The crusher" not a logical successor to the predecessor but rather to the debut "Once sent from the golden hall". And there are some facts that reason that, like the return to some ultra-fast speed shells, as well as some simple solos apart of flowing meloy-lines.
