Whether Lemmy, Ozzy Osbourne or James Hetfield: at EMP you will find all the legends from the music scene. But you won’t just find legends – we have also got loads of band merch covering metal newcomers. Kit yourself out for your next gig (or just a day in the office), with band merchandise from the UK’s #1 merch store. Forget the charts and trends, we’re serving up a huge range of merch from all sorts of bands and musical styles. For those about to rock: we salute you!
Merchandise From Around The World
EMP has dedicated 33 years to selling band merch. We started to build our range way back in 1986 when, unless you were at a gig, it was almost impossible to get merchandise and vinyls from abroad. That meant that if a band didn’t tour the UK, you wouldn’t be able to get your hands on any official merchandise. It seems like a different world, but that’s where we started.
The scene grew and grew, and from humble beginnings we are now able to offer over 10,000 items from various bands and genres around the world. And that’s just our band merchandise. We’ve also got a huge selection of Movie, TV and gaming merch, covering everything from t-shirts, hoodies, patches, boots, jackets, beanies, belts, trainers, towels, mugs, backpacks, media, Funko POP! and so much more. You’ll find every type of merchandise you can think of with over 80 pages dedicated just to band merch - and our range grows every day.
Unlocking the emotional power of band merchandise
If you've ever been to a live gig, you know the palpable energy that fills the room when the music starts. It's a magic that often leaves us wanting more. And guess what? That's where band merchandise or 'merch,' as it's fondly called, comes in. But it's not just about souvenirs; it's about identity, community, and sometimes, even a deep emotional connection. Let's dive into the fascinating world of band merchandise!
Why band merch is more than just stuff
When you wear a t-shirt of your favorite band, it's like a badge of honor, an instant conversation starter with fellow fans. But it's not just about showing off your music taste; it’s about a shared experience. Band merchandise creates a community around an artist or a band, strengthening your emotional connection with the music and the message it carries.
The emotional journey with band merchandise
You might remember the first time you bought band merch. The anticipation as you walked up to the stall, the excitement of choosing the item, and the ultimate joy of owning something that represents a band or artist you love. That emotional journey doesn't just end there; every time you wear that piece, it rekindles fond memories and stokes your passion for the music.
Band merch in the UK: A culture of its own
Band merch culture is significant in many parts of the world, but it has a unique flavor in the UK. From historic venues to music festivals, the love for merchandise is as vivid as the music itself. British bands have often led the way in creating iconic merch that becomes as famous as their songs, making band merch an integral part of the UK's music landscape.
Music merch: More than just clothing
While t-shirts, hoodies, and hats are the most common forms of band merchandise, let's not forget the other fantastic items available. Think posters, vinyl records, and even special edition releases that often contain behind-the-scenes material. These items can serve as a lasting reminder of a concert you attended or an era of music that profoundly impacted you.
Taking care of your band merchandise
Once you've got your hands on that coveted piece of band merch, you'll want to keep it in pristine condition. Proper care ensures that your items not only look good but also last longer. Whether it's washing guidelines for fabric merchandise or storage tips for collectibles, taking good care of your band merch allows you to cherish it for years to come.

Band Highlights - Legends From The Rock and Metal Music Scene
The scene is growing and growing, and there are always cool new bands to discover. However, almost all of that can be traced back to a handful of legends who have left their mark on the music world.
Iron Maiden Merch - Over 85 million albums sold, they own their own aeroplane, and they have performed over 2,000 concerts and counting. They are truly legendary, only a few bands have toured as much, released as many albums and received as many awards as Iron Maiden. "The Number of the Beast" album is still regarded as groundbreaking for the heavy metal scene, and is regarded as one of the best metal albums of all time. Further high flying albums followed, such as "Piece of Mind", "Powerslave", "Somewhere in Time '' and "Fear of the Dark", to name but a few. Come worship one of the world's most legendary bands with us! You'll find a wide range of official Iron Maiden products. How do you fancy an Iron Maiden t-shirt, leather jacket or Christmas jumper? Stock up your music collection with our Iron Maiden CDs and vinyls, or what about an Iron Maiden Zippo lighter?
Metallica Merch - In the beginning, Metallica were living in Los Angeles, but then they moved to the legendary Bay Harbor area of San Francisco in 1982. The Bay Area became thrash metal's pioneering city, and it's no surprise that bands like Testament, Exodus and Death Angel also made a move to San Francisco too. Metallica's debut album, "Kill 'Em All'' was released on July 25, 1983, and is now regarded as the epitome of thrash metal, with songs such as "Seek and Destroy" or "Hit The Lights" seen as music scene milestones. Their second album "Ride The Lightning" made massive waves, too, and was followed by a European headlining tour. After "Ride The Lightning", Metallica released the album "Master of Puppets' ', which earned gold certification just one month after its release. At EMP, we celebrate these legends of thrash metal with Metallica T-shirts, hoodies, socks, trainers, goblets, hip flasks, earrings, plectrums, wristwatches and so much more.
Slayer Merch - As one of the so-called 'Big Four' thrash metal bands, alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax, Slayer have been a musical stalwart for fans since 1981. Right from the beginning, Slayer wanted to stand out from the masses and have been known to borrow symbols and motifs from Satanism in order to create a buzz around their image. Albums such as 'Reign in Blood' and 'Seasons in the Abyss' formed the basis of the image that the band has today, which is carried forward on all of their merchandise. You will find everything from Slayer bed linen to Slayer beanie hats in our EMP online Fan shop from - so that you can not only kit yourself out, but your home as well.
Nirvana merch - Founders of a mixed punk and metal music style that is a truly amazing genre of music, Nirvana are pioneers of grunge. Classed as one of the most influential bands of the 90s, back in the day, Nirvana were the leaders of the pack heading in a whole new direction. After the suicide of lead singer Kurt Cobain, grunge was at risk of dying out, or at least fading into classic rock, but even years after their break-up, Nirvana’s music still gathers new fans all ages. Albums like ‘Nevermind’, ‘Bleach’ and ‘In Utero’ are timeless and incredibly fascinating. Not one song has dated or become insignificant, which you quickly realise when you put on one of their discs. Songs like ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, ‘Come As You Are’, ‘Heart Shaped Box’, ‘In Bloom’, ‘Lithium’ or ‘Polly’ are absolute classics. Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselić and Dave Grohl were, and still are, true music legends. Their spirit lives on in our Nirvana shop, where you will find Nirvana T-shirts, Hoodies, discography, baby clothes, Funko POP! figures and more.
Rammstein merch - The gentlemen of Rammstein obviously didn’t listen to their mothers when they told them not to play with fire. In fact, the band – consisting of singer Till Lindemann, guitarists Richard Zven Kruspe and Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider and keyboardist Christian ‘Flake’ Lorenz – have made pyrotechnics one of their trademarks. But Rammstein have much more to offer than just their spectacular live shows. One of Germany’s major exports, their videos regularly receive an 18+ rating, and their lyrics that are riddled with double meanings - so of at EMP we are huge Rammstein fans. No wonder, then, that our Rammstein shop is full to the brim. Here, you can get Rammstein t-shirts, hoodies, tank tops, accessories, DVDs, CDs, Blu-Rays and loads more. We’ll see you at the next Rammstein show.
Slipknot merch - Recorded during their basement sessions in 1992, 'Slipknot' was actually a song by Painface, but once Anders Colsefni left and took the name painface with him, it became the new name for the band. With $40,000 in their pockets, Slipknot recorded the debut album "Slipknot", which was released by Roadrunner Records on 29 June 1999. To this day, the album represents one of the most important milestones in the nu metal scene, and classics such as "(sic)“, "Wait and Bleed“ and "Spit It Out" are still usually a feature at every concert. You'll find all the Slipknot kit you need in the EMP Merch Shop, including backpacks, baseball caps, fingerless gloves and ear plugs. Of course, we also stock the regular stuff like hoodies and t-shirts, but where else can you get slipknot pencil cases, leggings and gym bags?
More Music Merchandise
Panic at the disco merch - Have you got a fever that you just can't sweat out? Is that fever because of Panic! at the disco? The original members of the band had barely left high school when they recorded and released their debut studio album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out in 2005. Popularized by the second single, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies' ', the album was certified triple platinum in the US. Since 2015 Brendon (or Beebo) Urie, has been the only remaining official member of the band and if, like Brendan, you are too weird to live, but too rare to die, then grab yourself some official merch. In our EMP Merch store we’ve got Panic! at the disco shirts, hoodies and media, so that you can show your love and support of the band.
Foo fighters merch - The death of Kurt Cobain may have meant the end of Nirvana for Dave Grohl, but when one door closes another one opens. Without Kurt Cobain Nirvana disappeared, but it also meant the beginning of the foo fighters. Grohl was the only member of the band in the early days and wrote and recorded the debut album alone, but when it came to touring he couldn't do it by himself. Help arrived in the form of lead guitarist Pat Smear, bassist Nate Mendel and drummer William Goldsmith - Dave Grohl was on guitar. In 1997, the Foos finally managed to free themselves of their founding story with their album "The Colour and the Shape", which established them as a stand-alone band, with a sound that was different to Nirvana. Featuring great songs, such as "My Hero", "Monkey Wrench" and "Everlong", it allowed them to break into the music scene with their pure rock and roll sounds. You'll find all the Foo Fighters merch you need in EMP's Foo Fighters Online Shop. CDs, LPs, live DVDs - we've got it all. As well as music, you'll find an array of Foo Fighters shirts that are surprisingly colourful for a rock band! We even have hooded jackets for those colder winter days. So, what are you waiting for? Discover our Foo Fighters merch and deck yourself out for the next concert. We'll see you in the mosh pit.
Linkin park merch - Founded by three young Californians in 1996, Linkin Park is a vital part of the nu metal movement. Catchy samples from DJ Hahn, subtle lyrics and unique vocals, created an incomparable sound that helped Linkin Park make the leap from youth movement to an established rock band. Dominating the scene with lyrics that deal with issues such as the frustration, despair, fear and marginalisation of teenagers, Linkin Park were soon filling concert venues and headlining several big festivals. Linkin Park began with the album "Hybrid Theory" in 1998, taking its title from the band's previous name. The album landed the band 5th place on the Billboard Charts and they even won a Grammy with the song "Crawling". Even if Chester Bennington is no longer physically with us, his musical legend will live on forever, with milestones such as "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" having shaped us all in important ways. So, there's no wonder you're able to find these albums and many more on the Linkin Park Shop.Get in the mood for nu metal with our countless Linkin Park t-shirts, hoodies and much more. Come a step closer!
