Metallica, Megadeth, Testament are the influences on the debut of the Austrians, who competently work themselves through ten clean worked Thrash-grenades.

    Wolfpack Unleashed

by Jürgen Tschamler (14.09.2007) With their debut album, "Anthems of resistance", the Austrians release a powerful Thrash-firework. The only deficit is that this album has already been released in self-regie by the end of last year under the name of "The art of resistance". Now, the album was sonically improved a bit, the tracklist was put in a new order and the disc was newly entitled, ready is the international debut. This much for the introduction, yet, that doesn't change a thing in the high standard of the album. Within the sound of Wolfpack Unleashed, you find all kinds of early Metallica and Megadeth, casually cooperating with Testament and Perzonal War influences. "Religion of control" heavily reminds me of Metallica, while the end of "Next victim" is rather Megadeth. For the rest, you have a collection of superb Thrash-bombs loosened up by acoustic trips. Fortunately, the vocals are not only grunted but simply raw and heavy which perfectly rounds off the whole picture. A well done Thrash debut of a promising new band.
