by Markus Wosgien (20.04.2009) The "Bloodwork" EP was originally released in spring 2008, parallel to the then still fresh album "Skeletons", although only in the US and only as a self-production. Now, DR2 Records release the 6-track mini album also in Europe, starting off with two previously unreleased tracks, "B-movie babylon" and "Return of the living dead", both classic Wednesday 13 songs à la Marilyn Manson, Kiss, and Alice Cooper. Especially the last one is a highlight due to the horror sound effects - that should be the hot shit on one or the other Dark dance floor. Surprisingly unique: the cover version of the Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers evergreen "Running down a dream", plus the remake of cool "I love to say fuck"( Wednesday 13 had written that with his old band Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13). This great EP is topped by the two acoustical interpretations of "My demise b.c." and "Skeletons a.d." (both from the current album "Skeletons").
