by Patrick Schmidt (10/00) After the fabulous predecessor "Killing on adrenaline" the mad Americans of Dying Fetus have taken another step beyond. Especially the sound and the song-structures have improved heavily. Reigning is completely mad and crazy Death Metal, hammered down in incredible speed developing an unbelievable momentum. Both singers definitely have the most perverted voices I have ever heard, gurgling and groaning par excellence. On the other hand you can hear fine worked-out songs, covered with breaks but still bearing a high catchiness and run like hell. Meanwhikle, you can name Dying Fetus in one breath with bands like Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy, Deranged or Kataklysm. Whoever likes those bands has to hear this one, too!
