by Markus Eck (23.04.2009) This sophisticated debut album features symbolic, dark Symphonic Metal with progressive parts. German keyboardist / guitarist Oliver Palotai established Sons Of Seasons in 2007 to realise his vision of a special melting pot containing Metal, Jazz, and classical music. At that time, he was working with Blaze Bayley, but left to get his own band together again. After some searching and auditioning, Palotei met singer Henning Basse (Metalium) in Japan who was hired and now does his best on "Gods of vermin". The four individualists deliver their material with extreme intensity shimmering through every second of this interesting, versatile album. "Gods of vermin" is an emotional listening experience, offering a lot to many Metal lovers not too dead set to "their" respective genres.
