"Ocean machine - Live at the Ancient Roman Theatre" Blu-Ray by Devin Townsend Project

On 22 September 2017, the Devin Townsend Project performed a very special concert in the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. A celebration of the last 20 years. After performing a set selected by the fans from Devin’s entire back catalogue, the band played the entire milestone album ‘Ocean Machine’ on the 20th anniversary of its release. The latter was accompanied by the orchestra and choir of Plovdiv’s State Opera. The concert was filmed and released under the title ‘Ocean Machine – Live at the Ancient Theatre’.
Devin commented, “Ocean Machine was released 20 years ago, and although Marty (the band’s former drummer) is no longer with us, this concert finally enabled me and original bassist John ‘Squid’ Harder to give a live performance of the entire full-length album. On a cold evening in an old town in an ancient theatre, many aspects of my life came together and connected, and I’m extremely proud of the result. This is a very special live recording of a very special evening and I hope you can see it and enjoy it as a tribute to the things that inspired it all in the first place.
