All the Vomitory family constantly does is push the standards higher and hence confirm the dominion in their own little niche as a representative of the heaviest league in Sweden. Although they do not follow the song-writing footsteps of US-influenced bands like Spawn Of Possession, Thronaeon (soon Godhate) or the good old buddies from Deranged they do beat most of their fellow Death Metal companions from the North into the ground, no matter if it's the Gothenburg armada or the league of veterans. There are 10 detonations to be survived. Afterwards you're either survivor or victim of "Primal massacre", beaten down or annihilated by one of the moments during which a little Bolt Thrower pathos lets the wretched beast almost come to a halt. "Gore Apocalypse" is one of the songs that offers both possibilities to die. Whoever chooses to fight this battle should be aware that failure IS an option: die with your boots on!
