9.Revelation of Black Moses
by Markus Eck (null) Peter, Doc, Shambo and Mauser let their new Death Metal monster off the rusty chain. As we could expect, "Revelations" is again typically monstrous instrumented and stunning set to scene. Despite some experimental escapades (MLP "Kingdom" '98), Vader, the long-lived Poles have never really left their straight bizarre and enormously riff-oriented style ever since their pioneering debut in 1993, "The ultimate incantation". That isn't changed with "Revelations" and offers some deadly sinners. So, for true Death gourmets it should be a real pleasure to hear how the skilful Eastern quartet understands to maltreat their instruments with sadistic delectation. Because despite all primary placative fierceness (heavy-weight guitar riffs), Vader fail to prove their technical abilities - and convince with artistic performances on highest level. especially drummer Doc does a great job on "Revelations". His manic precise performance is becoming better with each song.
