With their "Made for eternity" album at the latest, Squealer claimed their ì top position in the Metal genre. On "Under the cross", they even improve in ì terms of heaviness and change between Power, Speed and Thrash Metal. And due ì to the raw vocals they have a lot of Bay Area attitude. "Under the cross" ì bursts with diversity and with its fat production pushes you against the ì wall. Oftentimes, unusual melodic refrains surprise giving the ten tracks a ì quite straight character. Here and there you hear the liking of acts, like ì Iced Earth or the early Testament, but Squealer have packed their sound very ì tight and can absolutely convince. The grooves are provided by drummer Mike ì Terrana (Rage) - very good. And the mix was shared by Andy Sneap (e.g. ì Machine Head) and Mikko Karmila (e.g. Nightwish), further perfecting a ì really great album packed with hymns and joy of playing. Killer! (Markus ì Wosgien - 01/02)
