Metallica's Black Album is one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed metal albums of all time. When the album saw the light of day in 1991, it not only gave Metallica their first Number 1 album in ten countries, but also unparalleled single success. Songs like "Enter Sandman", "The Unforgiven", "Nothing Else Matters", "Wherever I May Roam" or "Sad But True" may not be missing on any Metallica show even 30 years after the release. These songs have gone down in rock and metal history. The unconditional rise of Metallica was a done deal with "Enter Sandman" at the latest. Sold-out stadiums all over the world followed. The Black Album has been placed in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of all Time since 1991.


For its 30th anniversary, the Grammy-winning and 16-times platinum Black Album has been reissued. The entire album has been remastered for an even better sound experience. But that's not all. Along with the remaster, The Metallica Blacklist Album was also released. The tribute album features cover versions of the Black Album by over 50 male and female artists. On "The Metallica Blacklist" you will find 53 tracks that will show you the Black Album in a whole new look.


By the way, the profits from the tribute album will go to good causes. The proceeds from all album sales, downloads and streams will go in equal parts to the "All Within My Hands" foundation, founded by the band itself in 2017, as well as over 50 other charities chosen by the artists featured on the album.
