When it comes to interior decorating, you might instinctively think of slip covers, not Slipknot, but we like to do things a bit differently here at EMPā€¦

Slipknot were one of the pioneers of the Nu-Metal movement. Their sound was intense, surprising and fresh. But it wasnā€™t just the music which made Slipknot Almost as integral to the band as their sound was their visuals. Slipknotā€™s masks are the bandā€™s signature, switching up with each album cycle and ranging from the disturbing to the tongue-in-cheek humorous. The idea for the masks came from the first Slipknot rehearsal when percussionist Shawn Crahan showed up wearing a clown mask. Everyone liked the idea and it prompted the band to focus on the music and the message.

Being such an important element in the bandā€™s identity, itā€™s no surprise that the masks play a part in our Slipknot posters, framed prints and calendars. Posters featuring the group throughout their many different cycles shows them as they wanted the world to consume their art ā€“ gruesome, provocative, challenging. Making for a striking visual, any one of our Slipknot posters would make an intriguing piece of interior dĆ©cor for your homeā€¦ just maybe warn any guests who might wander into the poster at night beforehand. Whether youā€™re buying for yourself, maybe to decorate a spare room or your university halls, or youā€™re looking for the perfect gift for your favourite maggot (which is the affectionate nickname for Slipknot fans), you canā€™t go wrong with these Slipknot posters.

The line-up has changed over time, but collectively, the spirit of Slipknot has remained the same since their inception. An anarchic, chaotic and alternative metal band who demand to be heard, and thanks to these Slipknot posters, to be seen. Their message has reached the masses ā€“ Slipknot have sold over 30 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful metal bands in history.
