Volbeat is a Danish band that formed in Copenhagen in 2001. The band's unique style of music makes them so special. A mix of metal, punk rock, country, blues and rock 'n roll have turned Volbeat albums into real bestsellers.

The name of the group is based on the English word “volume” for volume and “beat” for rhythm. So the name says it all, because the music is catchy and has real ear-worm potential. Since the influence of Elvis Presley is also often unmistakable, the style is often referred to as Elvis Metal.

True fans go to concerts in matching Volbeat T-shirts, of course. But a Volbeat top is also a good choice for everyday wear. The designs are very diverse and men and women were equally considered in the shape and cuts of the garments. The selection is as big as the genre mix, so that many people can choose such a cool shirt.

The maritime shirts are especially popular with rockabillies, so that these fans are also covered. If you like things a little dark, opt for the famous goat skull or another skull design. T-shirts are available in several different colours from grey to white to more muted colours. Because as different as the musical influences of the band are, as different are the fans.

There is enough variety for the Merchandise from Volbeat to do justice to everyone. The album covers are also a popular design on t-shirts so that fans can easily show each other which is their favourite album from the Loud Danish Guys!

Volbeat facts for fans

If a Volbeat T-shirt is not what you are looking for then how about some interesting facts instead? The lead singer Michael Poulsen left the death metal band Dominus in 2001. He wanted to try things out and mix different genres of music together. The idea for Volbeat was born. So many inspirations had been sleeping within him, which were mainly shaped by the rock 'n' roll music that his parents had listened to.

Stylistically, the band just can't be classified and that's intentional. Poulsen never wanted to feel that the direction for the band was set after an album was released. Therefore, Volbeat fans can always look forward to interesting and unique creations.

Volbeats success began very quickly when they reached the semi-finals of the Danish music competition 'Live Contest'. A soundtrack for the Danish film 'Frost' followed a short time later. In 2006 Volbeat was awarded the Danish music prize for 'Live Band' and 'Hope of the Year'. The many tours and appearances contributed significantly to the band's success and ensured that they also received international attention.

Accompanied by AC / DC in 2010 and as the opening act for BIG FOUR, Volbeat traveled across Europe, from Turkey to Romania. Since the guys from Volbeat are big boxing fans, they composed the song 'A Warrior's Call'. This is the song that the boxer Mikkel Kessler opened his appearances at the Super Six Tournament with.

A Volbeat T-shirt with this design is of course a matter of honour for all boxing fans worldwide. All these things can be found in the EMP merchandise shop so that nobody has to search long for merch.
