Born out of new wave and punk culture in the 1980s and evolving with themes such as occultism, the jewellery and apparel offered by Alchemy Gothic are truly unique works of art that don’t shy away from standing out and making a statement. .

Alchemy Gothic and EMP are a match made in heaven (or should that be Hell, sticking to the underworld theme and all..?) because they are both the end result of taking a shot on a passion. Similar to how EMP started as selling t-shirts outside of rock gigs, Alchemy Gothic is the creation of two Manchester lads, Geoff Kayson and Trevor Phillipson, who, finding themselves broke, jobless and into rock and punk music in Leicester in 1977, started making punk anti-jewellery and selling it to local shops, at gigs and by mail order. .

Demand grew and soon they were making pewter skull jewellery and being asked to make tour merchandise for bands. After more than four decades, Alchemy are best known for their fine English pewter creations, but also incorporate many alternative materials and finishes in their unique designs of exceptional quality. They’ve also become known for their original artwork and designs, amazing examples can be found and bought online from EMP. .

All of Alchemy Gothic’s offerings are thoughtfully and individually designed, modelled and developed in England by the Alchemy Studios creative art and design team. Each individual product is then hand-made with pride from the finest English Pewter by Alchemy's own highly skilled craftsmen, all at their studios and workshops in Leicester, England. .
