Alice in Wonderland merchandise from EMP

Alice in Wonderland is that rare curiosity, a story that’s enchanting to both children and adults alike.

Children are no doubt swept up in the whimsy and wonder of Wonderland. But, as we get older, we appreciate the more subtle references, the artistic legacy and the many urban legends around what author Lewis Carroll was thinking and drinking when he took us on a trip down the rabbit hole.

That’s why we’ve got a range of Alice in Wonderland gifts that are perfect for people of any age, whether it’s a newly discovered favourite of your little ones or a nostalgic treat for yourself.

For the curiouser and curiouser who might not be as familiar, just what is Alice in Wonderland about? Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (the proper name for the original text, should it ever come up in a pub quiz) follows the story of a young, innocent girl named Alice. Intrigued by the frequent appearance of a White Rabbit, she follows him down a rabbit hole that takes her to a magical land, full of Mad Hatters and madder queens. Her adventures are plentiful, and plenty strange. There’s bewitching Cheshire Cats with a smile that doesn’t quite reach the eyes. There’s queen’s tarts and Knaves of Hearts. There’s… a lot, ok. Just read it. Or watch one of the many film adaptations. As well as the classic Disney animation, Tim Burton merged his own blend of kooky with Alice in Wonderland for a live-action movie in 2010.

The Alice in Wonderland merch in our store has clothing and other gifts inspired across all the adaptations, so you can find bits inspired by your favourite versions.

The novel famously ends with Alice waking up and it all being a dream, so it’s only fitting you bring some wonder to your own sleep with our selection of Alice in Wonderland pyjamas and Bedding. You’ll be purring like a Cheshire Cat tucked up in these dreamy designs.
