Na na na na na na FUNKO! (You know it fits…)
POW! WHACK! SLAM! The classic Batman cartoons and TV shows were famous for their onomatopoeias, and we’re happy to add one more to the classic cartoon bubbles – POP! Funko POP that is.
The Funko POP figurines are one of the biggest things in collectibles, so it only makes sense that one of the biggest names in pop culture will have plenty of models. Batman Funko POP figures do the unthinkable – they bring the fun into Gotham, notoriously one of the least fun cities in the history of comic books.
Batman needs little introduction, but let’s recap on the Caped Crusader and his impact on pop culture. It all starts with a sad heir. No, not Barron Trump. Bruce Wayne. We know, poor little rich people, but Bruce Wayne really did have problems! Bruce Wayne is still a child when he witnesses his parents being shot by a criminal. This shapes the trajectory of his life, awakening in him a sense of justice – justice at all costs. Bruce believes in making people pay. That doesn’t make him the noble hero of other comics, but, as he begins to train himself physically, using all his money to kit himself out like Gotham’s own James Bond on Halloween, Batman is born.
Batman being a hero without supernatural powers is what makes him so unique. He is a vigilante who thinks that technicalities shouldn’t stop justice being served, and he’s quite happy to take matters into his own hands.
First debuting in May 1939, in the comic series Detective Comics, Batman has gone on to become a pop culture icon recognisable across the globe. From campy television shows to dark, Oscar-winning movies, Batman has always held a presence in the imagination of the world. Villains and characters from the Batman universe are also household names, with Catwoman, the Joker and Alfred all nearly as popular as the Bat himself. Batman, along with characters like these, are celebrated throughout our collection of Batman Funko POP collectibles.
The thing about Funko POP figures is that they’re always growing, so the figures in our store now will likely expand and change over time – a great excuse to keep checking back with us. As well as straight-forward Batman collectible figures – such as your favourite characters as you’re used to seeing them – Batman Funko POP figures celebrate Batman in a different way.
From Batman Pride figures to Mexican wrestler inspired takes on Batman characters, Funko POP figures have more tricks up their sleeve than the Riddler - they truly deliver the unexpected.
