Hogwarts is the school of wizardry and witchcraft that offers every aspiring wizard and witch the opportunity to develop to the full. Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin are the four houses that their future student is assigned to thanks to the wise division of the talking hat. Slytherin students are known for diligence, cunning and inventiveness. The familiar colours of the house crest are green and silver. It is adorned with the heraldic animal of the snake. Members of the House of Slytherin are naturally at loggerheads with the Gryffindors, see Harry and Draco.

The History of Slytherin
Slytherin has always produced a wide variety of wizards. The history of Tom Riddle, alias Lord Voldemort, shows that one or the other evil creep has risen in the process. The house was founded by Salazar Slytherin, who, together with Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw, established the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Unfortunately, Gryffindor and Slytherin in particular fell out over the principle of which students should have the right to attend Hogwarts. The enmity between the houses continues to this day.

Fun Fact 1: Relatives on the set
After Salazar Slytherin, Tom Riddle is probably the most famous wizard of this Hogwarts house. On the "Harry Potter" film set, little Tom is played by Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, who in real life is the nephew of Ralph Fiennes, who plays the adult Voldemort. What a brilliant coincidence!
Fun Fact 2: Draco Malfoy's school career
Actually, it wasn't Little Draco's destiny to go to Hogwarts and become a Slytherin. His father was planning to send him to Durmstrang Institute. However, Mommy Malfoy was against it and so he came to live near his parents at Hogwarts.
Fun Fact 3: Harry or Draco?
The then still young actor Tom Felten initially auditioned for the role of Harry Potter with the film team. His performance was so convincing that he immediately landed a completely different role as Harry's antagonist.
Fun Fact 4: Eating on the set?
He had the role of Draco and played more of a class clown on the set. Tom Felton thought that eating on set was a wonderful thing. Until the crew finally sewed up the pockets of his cape so that he could no longer smuggle food onto the set.
Fun Fact 5: A teacher from the past
No one denies that Joanne K. Rowling has a fertile imagination. But the fact that this imagination is so debauched that even her old chemistry teacher found room in it is worth a Fun Fact. Professor Severus Snape - Potions teacher and Slytherin tutor - is based on Rowling's old chemistry teacher.
