"I think anything that doesn't kill you makes you weirder" - and somehow the Joker, Batman's archenemy, is right. After all, the curious villain has fallen into a container full of chemicals and has been running through Gotham City as a strange creature ever since. His skin is white, his hair poison green, his lips are blood red and the nasty grin accompanies him day and night. He could have led a completely normal life. He and his wife were expecting a baby. However, when he quit his job and got involved with shady characters, Batman caught up with him and chased him. On the run, the chemical accident occurred and the bourgeois Jack was disfigured. To make matters worse, his pregnant wife died and Jack lost his mind. He went insane, wore a purple suit and vowed to kill Batman.
Joker and the Dark Knight
There are some live-action films in which the psychopathic criminal plays a central role. One of them is "Batman - The Dark Knight". Heath Ledger slipped into the role of the clown villain. Unlike in the comic version, the appearance of the DC character was not created by a chemical accident. In the course of the film, the made-up maniac keeps telling new variants of how his disfigured face came about. What is clear is that it is due to the nasty cuts in the corners of his mouth. Due to the scarring, he grins permanently.
In "The Dark Knight", the psychopathic clown wants the person behind Batman to reveal himself. Otherwise, innocent people will die. Whether this is the real reason for the construction of bombs, the torture of people and sadistic games remains to be doubted. The words of Batman's butler, Alfred, are the best way to describe it: "Some people just want to see the world burn." For him, it's all just a game: "Why so serious? By the way: you can also find fan articles of Joker's opponents here. How about Batman T-shirts?
"Suicide Squad" and the Crime Clown
There is another version of the Joker (Jared Leto) in the movie "Suicide Squad". Its appearance is strongly based on the comic book "The Dark Knight Returns". With his yellowish skin, he resembles the original villain. However, Batman's opponent has tattoos. He sits in the Gotham City psychiatric ward and meets psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel. The madman and the inexperienced Harleen fall in love with each other without restraint. His madness spreads to the psychiatrist. From then on, he calls her Harley Quinn. She ensures that the Joker can escape from Arkham Asylum. Want more Harley Quinn? Then bring your favorite character directly to your home, with merchandise from our Harley Quinn Shop.
