Posters
You might have briefly glanced at a movie poster on a bus stop or billboard before and thought nothing of it. That’s because not all movie posters are created equal. There are, luckily, still posters that understand the power a poster can have. The best film posters do more than tell you the release date. They’re art. Movie posters can make you feel something. Give you a feeling of what it will be like to experience the films themselves.
Movie posters can illicit something in you unexpected. Take the original Jaws poster. It prompted an immediate, visceral reaction. The oversized shark. The relentless quality that it, or you, couldn’t look away or break the stare. Then there’s the Back to the Future poster. Completely different in tone, but still with a huge impact. It just somehow captured people’s imaginations, adorning the walls of students the world over from back in the 80s to the back to the future generation.
Here at EMP, we’re all about celebrating unapologetic fandoms. Whether you’ve been a Star Wars fan since the first movie or you’re all about Anime, we love to celebrate people’s passions and make it easy for you to share a little bit of yourself through merch and decorations.
Our selection of movie posters do just that. Whether you need to bring more of you to a bedroom or you’ve got some beige space you can dress up at the office or in a studio, we’ve got posters that cover everything from classic sci-fi to the latest Netflix favourites.
Star Wars posters never go out of style. The original movie posters are bonafide works of art so get your hands on one today, including the original design of the Empire Strikes Back poster. We’ve also turned one of the most haunting, iconic shots in sci-fi cinema into the perfect poster. Han Solo. Frozen in Carbonite. Jabba has a lot to answer for, but there’s no denying it makes for a lasting visual – and a poster that’ll get plenty of attention.
Not only do we have the classics, we’ve got the latest Star Wars favourites. The Mandalorian posters are perfect for the new generation of Force fans, with a Baby Yoda poster just one of the newbies on offer in the EMP poster shop.
Our posters also come from a galaxy less far, far away. We’ve got Stranger Things posters for fans of the massive Netflix series, with different posters capturing the 80s vibes or the classic B-movie style aesthetics. Other Netflix favourites can be hung up on your wall too – we’ve got The Witcher posters, Riverdale posters and many more.
Many of us might have grown up with Harry Potter, hoping for a letter telling us we’re going to Hogwarts. Honestly, some of us probably still are hoping that’ll happen. While we can’t promise that, our Harry Potter posters will bring some magic to your lives. From the Marauders Map inspired designs to the glorious Hogwarts castle, there’s more Harry Potter posters in our online shop than there are Bertie Bott’s flavoured beans.
When it comes to film posters, we’ve got all the masterpieces. Too many to mention. Lord of the Rings posters, Batman posters, Marvel posters. Like with any good work of art, it’s better to show than tell. So stop reading. And start browsing. We know there’s going to be more than a few that catch your eye.
