Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Resident evil is an epic survival horror created by Japanese video game developer Capcom. It was first released for the PlayStation in 1996 as ‘Biohazard’ in the East, and to the rest of the world as ‘Resident Evil’. Can we blame Dr. Albert Wesker for the name change? Was it espionage? Or was there already a New York punk band and a DOS game registered under the name ‘Biohazard’ in the United States? In January 2017, Capcom blurred the lines between the East and West and ‘Resident Evil 7: Biohazard’ was released for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Umbrella Corporation

The first great zombie invasion broke out in Racoon City back in 1996 and since then the Umbrella Corporation has been trying to cover up the real cause. But you’re not fooled! Earlier installments in the Resident Evil franchise focus primarily on a group of people who battle against the Umbrella Corporation, a major player in the field of pharmaceuticals. The Umbrella Corporation develops the "T-virus" and other mutagens for their secret "bio-organic weapons" research. The mutagens can transform the inhabitants of Racoon City into zombies and mutate other animals and plants into horrifying monsters.

Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

Capcom have been cutting, slashing and pioneering their way into the history books with their game series, including such accolades as production of the first survival horror to feature cooperative game play. Such was the success of the first game in the series that Resident Evil 2 followed in 1998, (subsequently remade in 2019) and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which was released in 1999 and remade in 2020.
