    A letter

by Jürgen Tschamler (23.03.2007) The last Not Available album was released in 2001; a damnlong time, no doubt. A bit confusing is the cover of the new album as well as the accompanying booklet. It makes me think of Rock'n'Roll bands, like Stikki Fykk. But fortunately, the first tunes of the opener, "Better than a dream" manage to wipe away the sweat of fear from the forehead: Not Available have remained the same and perform a melodic Punk variant that becomes very mass-compatible by the Green Day-like choirs and refrains. The pace is quite fast, still the riffs are very melodic. Again, Green Day come to mind. I don't believe that Not Available intended to cover the Westcoast Americans but comparing the two you have little choice but to put the two bands into the same stylistic corner. None of the 14 tracks is any weaker than the other, they manage to keep up the high level and consequently present themselves as the German Green Day. So, I should say: Pogo!
