by Andreas Reissnauer (27.09.2007) The new super-band around the ex-In Flames guitarists, Niclas Engelin, Marcus Sunesson (ex-The Crown), Mojo (ex-Lord Belial), Michael Hakansson (ex-Evergrey) and singer Mangan Klavborn has finally finished their debut album. First demo songs had been shared for years and plenty of newcomer awards have already been won, now the Swedes have to prove if they are ready to conquer the world. At least the fans of Niclas Engelin's ex-bands (beside In Flames he was in Gardenian and Passenger) can support this band blindly. On their debut, Engel serves catchy hymns that don't lack in the adequate heaviness and groove, either. Brute rhythms encounter omnipresent melodies often culminating in catchy choirs. Mangan Klavborn can convince with both aggressive vocals and the always clear chorus lines. The rough production of In Flames singer Anders Friden is the right counterpart and adds the right dirt and an adequate heaviness. Well done!
