'On 'Amongst the Low & Empty,' SIGNS OF THE SWARM's angry Deathcore is enriched with a hefty dose of groove and industrial impulses that call to mind comparisons with Meshuggah, Deftones, and Fear Factory. The band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, reaches a new level of darkness with this, the soundtrack to a not-too-distant dystopian future, while their own burns brighter than ever. The fire was ignited by co-producer and mixer Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, King 810, heightah), who spent over a month in the studio working on the album, with drummer Bobby Crow laying the foundation upon which everything was built. 'Amongst the Low & Empty' begins with a bulldozer-like note - no meandering intro - with a title track that is so heavy, a later outbreak of double bass literally made the band's manager laugh. Following that, tracks like 'Tower of Torsos,' 'DREAMKILLER,' or 'The Witch Beckons' continue, featuring Trivium's Matt Heafy alongside vocalist David Simonich's animalistic growl.

Relentless Touring with bands like Lorna Shore, Whitechapel, Fit for an Autopsy, Born of Osiris, Archspire, and MANY others has allowed Signs of the Swarm to refine their craft, but on 'Amongst the Low & Empty,' they have truly mastered it and are ready to break out in the world of extreme metal.

Simply put, this is the sound of art pushed to its limits.'
