by Sonja Angerer (04/01) Somewhere in the burning hell of Gothic Metal, Black and Death Metal Morten ì Veland - ex-mastermind of Tristania has settled nicely. Here he has forged the ì steel for his songs: gloomy vocals reminding me of Fields of The Nephilim or early Sisters Of Mercy, rides through stormy riff-blasts and in between there is a female voice - sometimes punky and snotty, sometimes fragile and sensitive. Like glowing eyes in the dark 9 tracks with disturbing intensity shine through the vast plethora of second class releases. A ray of hope not only for genre fans but for all lovers of dark Rock music. The debut, "At Sixes And Sevens" may have slipped many of you. At least this time you can't claim you didn't know! Don't miss this one! (Sonja Angerer - 04/01)
