by Oliver Kube (08.04.2010) Somebody took it upon himself and counted all the guitar soli on this one. The result is almost unbelievable: 66 soli performed by main man Jeff Waters during the ten songs on this eleventh studio album. Ok, let's do the math: that's one solo every 45 seconds (total playing time is about 49 minutes) - wow. But in spite of this feat, the guitar wiz did not neglect the quality of the songwriting: we do not only get some crispy Speed attacks ("Coward") and relentless Thrash ("Ambush"), but also "25 seconds", starting with an atmospheric bass. This track develops rapidly into a genuine noise tornado - but from time to time, the brakes are used quite cleverly, making it extremely exciting to listen to, even after several sessions with the CD. "Romeo delight", a Van Halen song which has rarely been covered so far, tops off this awesome album - kudos to Waters & Co!
