by Andreas Reissnauer (10.07.2008) In spite of existing since 1999, Six Reasons To Kill are the losers of the metalcore boom within the last years. Bands like Heaven Shall Burn, Neaera, Cataract and Maroon scooped the market, and Six Reasons To Kill were mostly stuck somehwere in the underground. But - they've come through: with a new lineup and a new album, they finally attack again. "Another horizon" demonstrates impressively that Six Reasons To Kill are not only versatile musicians - they have been doing their thing for quite a while, too. All songs are arranged and recorded professionally and catchy enough to fuel any given moshpit anywhere. Thorsten is an extremely aggressive and skilful singer and struts his stuff. Musically, SRTK like variety and do spice up their aggro parts with nice melodies (think Caliban, a few years ago, here). This is a well-done album by experienced artists. Let's just hope SRTK finally get the respect they deserve.
