by Sonja Angerer (29.03.2007) If you liked the predecessor, "Saviourine", you could be surprised: "Aphelia" is clearly rougher. Is this the influence of Rene Gödde who had been the live guitarist over years and has now become a band member? Anyway, with the dreamy "Nothingness" or the dramatic "Unspoken", there are great hymns to discover, too. If you like it romantic and calm, you'll be thrilled by the ballads, "My eyes" as well as the epic, more than 12 minutes long title track. But also the dance floors are being served: "Kerosene" is a hot tip for upper positions in the club charts, while "Harvest" and "In every sin" stand in the tradition of Batcave-Rock. Great is also the easy "Rider" as well as "My tenebrous illusion" with its ultra-catchy chorus and the beautiful guitar sounds.
