by Oliver Kirchner (04.10.2006) I had banned the Wacken Open Air as well as the whole of the summer 2005 from my memories. The time usually known as the hottest time of the year was definitely not living up to its name in that year: rain, rain, and only rain. Still, another part of the "Armageddon Over Wacken" series wants to remind us of the fact that there was a lot more than mud in that festival season, too. Beside Mambo Kurt, Candlemass, Morgana Lefay, Overkill, Apocalyptica, Doomfoxx, Accept (with best-of medley) and Onkel Tom, you get Suffocation, Dissection, Cataract, Obituary, Gorefest and the absolute live-surprise, Equilibrium on two DVDs to name but a few. The recordings have all been provided with a colour filter that you first have to get used to. Furthermore, there are some campground-recordings, interviews and the cognition that this DVD shortens the wait until the next W:O:A!
