by Markus Eck (08.04.2010) If you start a Hard Rock band in 2002 and win a "Spellemannprisen" (the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy) just three years later, your music must be somehow special. The new album by the popular outfit hailing from Bergen again contains good old classy Rock sound with an individual touch. Toschie and his mates are seasoned musicians (all of them also playing in other, considerably rougher, bands), and the songs demonstrate that. "Audrey Horne" is a stable composition structure, with the Scandinavians adding a sophisticated pillar here and a complex instrumentation there, resulting in a nice overall feel of a tribute to the 70s and 80s. The notorious keyboard sounds of those days, carefully used, do underline that impression, never being too loud, but contributing to the atmosphere.
