3.Back in blood (Electronic Press Kit)
by Jürgen Tschamler (07.07.2009) The Finns are still able to surprise you - even on their ninth studio output. "Back in blood" is a hell of a rocker - and sets an nice antipole to that smooth, Glam-influenced sound of "Angels". So much the better - I have always preferred them leaning more towards the Crüe than towards the Sisters, to be honest. "Back in blood" is laden with twelve Goth `n´ Roll gems: "Dead `n´ gone" kicks ass, "Dead girls are easy" is a genuine smasher bearing all the trademarks of The Eyes, dominated by the unique vocals and a spurring guitar. Oh, and if you're suffering from lovesickness, don't listen to "Hunger" - that extremely emotional half-ballad will give you the final blow... Fortunately, "Kiss me undead" will revive your spirits again, though. This release is an emotional rollercoaster, and a demonstration of the band's versatility. The 69 Eyes are unique, different, a rockin' machine, and this album is an impressive proof of it - once again.
