by Oliver Kube (15.09.2008) Now that's what I call a pleasant step back! After all those sound and style experiments, the Backyard Babies obviously are their old self again on their sixth album - and make no prisoners. The terrific opener "Fuck off and die" sets the pace, and in 45 minutes, the guys go pedal to the metal with only two exceptions: the first being the awesome "Abandon" which starts with only an acoustic guitar and background vocals, but soon becomes a classic piece of Power Rock, and the epic "Saved by the ball". Crispy "Degenerated", punk'n'roll-y "The ship", swerving "Drool" and the cool piano groover "Voodoo love bow" show us the Stockholm boys as we love 'em: top-notch merciless dirty Rockers!
