by Holger (null) And the show must go on! Joachim Witt helped characterizing the German music scene in the end 70ies. "Der goldene Reiter", "Strenges Mädchen" and also "Der Herbergsvater" should be known to almost everybody. Now his new album"Bayreuth I" is out. His music is up-to-date and contains electronic elements. Sometimes a slight similarity with Rammstein may be noticed. Nevertheless it seems that HE influenced them, not the other way 'round. The lyrics are more mature, deeper, thoughtful, sometimes depressive. The music is smooth, hard, convincing and impressing. "Die Flut" und "Wintermärz" are sung together with Wolfsheim-frontman and -lyricist Peter Heppner. These are the highlights on the CD along with the songs: "Das geht tief", "Morgenstern", "Und ...ich lauf", "Liebe und Zorn" and "Das jüngste Gericht".
