by Markus Eck (18.07.2008) 2006, Finnish vocalist Katra Solopuro established her own band, Katra. The pretty lady gathered experienced musicians with a wide musical horizon - so the project was very professional from scratch, the proof being this studio album "Beast within" which was released in Finland in the spring of 2007. Now Katra have landed a deal with a big label due to the potential of their wonderful Gothic Metal creations, and this label rereleases the album. Rarely have I heard songs that harmonious and coherent and catchy within the last few years. Imagine a rougher, and at the same time more bombastic version of Within Temptation - if that allures you, this cd a great investment!
