by Olaf Plotke (null) By now, the German Schweisser should be known to the broad public. Their chart-hit "Willkommen im Club" made them known all over Germany and caused them being put into the "Rammstein-drawer". But what is this? The new album "Bitte warten" sounds completely different. At first, a lot of humor: title track and opener focuse on what annoys us most about being put on hold: a computer-generated voice that asks for patience, supported by music (although of course, we wouldn't mind that music). With the next song "Narrenschiff", they rev up! Schweisser seem completely renewed. No noisy Heavy sounds, but poetic lyrics and dreamlike music. Somehow, like a mix of Heinz Rudolf Kunze and Blumfeld. The high level in terms of lyrics and music remains for the entire album. It's so refreshing: Even a female choire was allowed at "Vermissen". Already now, the album marks this year's surprise.
