by Patrick Schmidt (03/10) "Sick In The Head", the opener of the new Six Feet Under album, makes clear from the beginning that the Florida-guys with "Bringer Of Blood" have made up the spot from the weaker "True Carnage" album. Great, groove-driven death metal that fortunately also sound-wise kicks ass again. Good that Barnes and Co. recorded in the Morrisound Studios again. The first surprise is provided by "Amerika The Brutal": a fast hardcore/punk-killer with a catchy chorus and sick vocals. All old school fans who think that "Haunted" still is the ultimate Six Feet Under album will be happily served by "Murdered In The Basement". And it goes on in this style. "My Hatred", the tribute to Chuck Schuldiner, "Escape From The Grave", the cool title track or "Claustrophobic" - all great death metal-storeys that are just greatly grooving refined by Barnes irresistible grunt vocals. Six Feet Under are back in business and still among the five biggest death metal bands on earth. Be sure to get the first edition of "Bringer Of Blood", then you get an additional bonus DVD!
