Guitar player and songwriter Mark Tremonti is known for his bands Alter Bridge and Creed, with whom he already won several grammys. With more than 40 million records sold worldwide he is responsible for hits such as My Own Prison', 'Higher', 'Isolation' and 'Addicted To Pain' – to name just a few. Tremonti are now back with their second album "Cauterize". Mark Tremonti (vocals and guitar) is accompanied by Eric Friedman (guitar), Wolfgang von Halen (bass) and Garrett Whitlock (drums). Tremonti continue exactly at the point where they stopped when releasing their first album "All I Was" (2012). "Cauterize" was produced by Michael 'Elvis' Baskette. From the first riffs of the opener 'Radical Change' through to the last note of the epic song 'Providence' Cauterize clarifies the development that Mark Tremonti has run through as a songwriter. Influences of hard rock/heavy metal are distinctly audible throughout the album, especially in terms of songs such as Flying Monkeys', 'Arm Yourself' and 'Sympathy'.
