by Jürgen Tschamler (null) Meshuggah leave you 2 options: love or hate! It used to be like that in the past and it's still like that on "Chaosphere". On the on hand the Scandinavians offer brutal, killer grooves on the other hand they make you throw up with their endless playing around. This contrast between progressive elements and brutal hack is hard to put into words. The songs are wobbly, angry and hard to comprehend but at the same time abrute wall of hate. "Chaosphere" is a total anti-hype album and will offend a lot of people. I still don't have a clue how to stay on such a high progressive level with songs as angry and violent as these. Meshuggah once more managed to record an album for freaks. The 50 minutes running time might become a total nightmare for some and an absolute treat for fancy freaks. "Chaosphere" is what you'll find on "Chaosphere"!
