by Matthias Mineur (null) Some people can't get rid of the spirits they once called. In case of Iron Savior, this spirit is named Kai Hansen, who caused a big media-stir in the beginning of the IR-career (together Blind Guardian-drummer Thomen Stauch) but then more and more harmed the image of the band, which despite public declarations were never seen more than a project. Hence now the split from Hansen and the alleged focussing on the current line-up, added by a return to more open-minded and more melodic directives that we have been missing on the predecessor "Dark assault". "Condition red" sounds like we have known the band around guitarist/singer Piet Sielck from the first two releases Iron Savior and "Unification". Assisted by an extremely well-done production and plenty of great songs from which especially the hymn-like title-track and the perfect choirs are worth mentioning.
