Product description

AFI's (A Fire Inside) eighth longplayer β€œCrash Love” features entirely radio-suitable Poprock songs - elements revealing their Punk past are only noticeable as background choir, like for example in the wonderful love song β€œI'm Trying Very Hard To Be Here”.

    It Was Mine

by Thomas Clausen (30.10.2009) The California Goth Punks do still burn - indeed, you get the feeling that A Fire Inside front arsonist Davey Havok and his blokes burn even more after each album! Their 2006 release "Decemberunderground" was a real chart breaker - and now, on their 8th studio album, AFI even top that feat... The mysterious straight edge four opt for more melodies! more epic! more drama! more atmosphere! more Rock! on veritable smashers such as "Medicate", "Too shy to scream", and "Sacrilege" - and of course also on those trademark, slower romantic anthems Γ  la "Beautiful thieves", "Ok, I feel better now", and "It was mine". Bye-bye, love, hello weltschmerz - AFI have just delivered the perfect soundtrack for that situation.
