by Eva Grabka (30.10.2009) Ok, so you can mix Hardcore influences with Keyboard parts - Enter Shikari have demonstrated that already. Dead By April, though, even top that by also adding vocal Pop influences à la US5. Impossible? Nah. Just very unusual and maybe not to everybody’s liking. At the beginning, I was also very sceptical and had to get used to that style, but after a a while, "Dead By April" turned out to be a real treat. The first single "Losing you" is extremely catchy, and so are "Erased", "In my arms", or "Stronger", too. Dead By April shamelessly mix’n’mesh various music styles - which seems to be their recipe for success: the Swedes have been given several newcomer awards in their country without even having a single or an album out. Hats off to them!
