by Anne-K. Fricke (25.03.2008) Incrave is the melodic side of the Swedish Metal scene. The sextet from Edsbyn is definitely inspired by Melodic Rockers a la Dokken, Vain and Great White and at the same time sounds up-to-date and a bit more gloomy and heavier, too. So, "The touch of death" has some slight Gothic influences. In order to lift from the rest of the scene, they also present a different image. With a look like the Hives, singer Johan Falk & Co can at least surprise. Well, and the music can absolutely convince. Both guitarists deliver a great riff-performance ("A shadow in the dark", "Shattered"), supported by the atmospheric keyboards of Jonathan Stenberg. He also stamps the great ballad, "Shades of me", carried by a beautiful melody. Decisive, however, is that Incrave skilfully combine all these different stylistic elements for a great whole which makes it impossible to pigeonhole them. Consequently, the Swedes are very individual and should have best chances to enchant all Metal fans.
