by Markus Wosgien (22.10.2008) Since their sensational victory of the Eurovision song contest 2006, everybody have learned the name of the Finnish monster rockers. Accordingly, "The arockalypse" took the charts by storm - and reached gold status even in Germany. "Deadache" has some big footsteps to fill - but the 12 tracks (plus intro) convince from the start and present Lordi par excellence: good old-fashioned melodic Hard Rock with a license to have fun. "Monster keep me company", and the first single "Bite it like a bulldog" are classic, almost anthem-like party headbangers. Mr. Lordi's evil voice thrones above all and makes for the intended "horror" effect. Apart from that, pure coolness rules: you have to take numbers like the mega-rocker "Dr. Sin is in", "Raise hell in heaven" and the ultimately catchy "The devil hides behind her smile" with a grin and a beer, so sing along and enjoy the show!
