by Jürgen Tschamler (22.10.2008) Bleeding Through throw their fifth wrecking ball (with "HATE" painted all over it) in the ring - ist name: "Declaration". The first impression: the band has been able to deliver material that is even better than the last albums (which were already great). Devin Townsend has produced this brain pulveriser: a work well done. The boys from Orange County begin with a sonic inferno, charge with "Declaration (You can’t destroy what you can not replace)" and launch grenade after grenade - direction: your cerebrum. The sheer brutality of the guitars is incredible, Derek Youngsma thrashes his drums like there’s no tomorrow, and the irate vocals are the frosting on the cake - this mixture of Hatebreed, Kataklysm and Arsis is murderous. Imagine "Declaration" as the link between "The truth" and "This is love, this is murderous". Hefty riffs, enormous power, the technical versatility of the songs is extremely impressive. Bleeding Through have managed the art of merging this brutal sound with musical principles - and they'll wow not only me with that, I’m sure.
