by Andreas Reissnauer (null) There are some changes in the house of Siebenbürgen. For one, Lovisa Hallstedt was replaced by the new singer Kicki Höijertz, and also the lyrics are no longer in Swedish but now in English. Musically, however, Siebenbürgen have stuck to Black Metal. The Swedes make their songs by the massive use of melodies, oftentimes coming from Swedish. You can't put the quintet into the same shelf as Vintersorg or Forlorn, Siebenbürgen despite the named influences are much heavier, incorporate acoustic guitars and use the melodies in their leads as well as their rifft. Yet, they never sound fierce, the band serves the fan base of melody-based Black Metal, use female vocals and keyboards and exclusively feature mid-tempo compositions. The raw production should delight fans of Immortal and alike also if "Delictum" (73 minutes long!) in first line is an album for Black Metal fans who also like Gothic- and Folk influences.
