The self-titled album by Swedish death metal legends DISMEMBER was originally released in 2008 and is the only album in the group's career on which mastermind, drummer, and producer Fred Estby is not featured. However, it ended the first chapter in the band's history on a high note, offering an angry performance by singer Matti Kärki, some tight grooves ('Europa Burns', 'Dark Depths'), and brilliant melodic parts in songs like 'Under a Blood Red Sky' or 'Black Sun'.
