by Markus Eck (05.10.2006) This highly aesthetic Gothic/Dark Wave-spin-off of the Austrian Tolkin-Black Metallers Summoning let their fans wait for a new sign of life for seven years. The current, new album "Dusk and void became alive" features the new Greek singer Christina, who joined the band during the recordings and presents herself with a beautiful voice. The opulent, melancholic arrangements were perfectly adapted to her wonderful voice. Comparing the new album with the 1999-predecessor, "In darkness let me dwell", you can immediately see the changes towards even darker sounds. Also the insistent song structures are more thought-out on the new album. Strikingly varied rhythm patterns further underpin that the primary focus on gloomy atmospheres belongs to the past now.
