Matthias Mineur

by Matthias Mineur (06/02) Blackie Lawless seems to be a bottomless cup of inspiration, ideas and Rock'n Roll visions. As with not many artists the fan community is chopped liver concerning his optical appearance on stage and his strange behaviour at life shows. Nevertheless, nobody ever doubted a W.A.S.P. album. "Dying for the world" is no exception. Without a lot of fuzz and little EFX the album directly starts-off into the world of American Hard Rock. You'll notice a little Kiss, Lawless own history (at times of "Headless children" and "The crimson idol") and some very surprising details to the modern sound of his band. At the same time Lawless keeps the straight pace and cares for a powerful sound. I doubt that "Dying for the world" is an album to die for but it's at least very fascinating. (Matthias Mineur)
