by Christian Bezdekovsky (null) "Every 6 seconds" is the radio-compatible major-debut of this band from Memphis - another band that tries to get its share in the popular NuMetal-corner. And you could almost guess that this is perfectly calculated by the record label, for Saliva with their mixture of raw guitar-riffs, aggressive Rap-parts and melodic elements deliver exactly what the market is asking for at the moment. Unfortunately, the album consequently seems a bit constructed, even if there are some great songs (like e.g. the first single, "Your disease") especially by the catchy refrains. "Click click boom" with its aggressive Rap-elements reminds me heavily of Kid Rock, so if you like to rock with them, you can be happy about another hitter with this one. The rest, including the outfit of the band, shows clear references to Monster Magnet. Not too much innovative sounds in the 12 tracks, maybe it's just due to the fact that I slowly get the feeling to encounter a new NuMetal band every six seconds.
