by Andreas Reissnauer (11.07.2006) The band's farewell present for their old label, Century Media: an album that can be called a bridge to the next album of Shadows Fall. The first six songs are leftovers from the "The war within“ recordings. Riffs and ideas were further developed and result in a bunch of songs that can absolutely convince with fat riffs and the usual aggressive shouting of Brian Fair. They may not reach the towering quality of their last album here but all the songs are perfectly banger compatible and good. With "Deadworld“, the Bostoners furthermore re-recorded one of their very first songs, and this one, too, blows you away with the massive use of double-bass drums and well-done breaks. Beside a Japan bonus track especially the cover songs of Only Living Witness, Leeway and - surprise - the Dangerous Toys make this 11-track-album a must-have for all Shadows Fall fans.
