by Ralf Koch (22.10.2008) From Spanish Metal label to global player? Current Locomotive signings do remind me a bit of Roadrunner releases - even if they haven’t had huge commercial success so far… But that could happen soon - what about Voodoo Six, for example? Steve "Maiden" Harris says that they have delivered the "best debut album" he has heard within the last few years. Voodoo Six is no Metal band, though: The British mix the best of the last three decades - Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, L.A. Guns, Guns'N'Roses and Wolfmother. Embedded in terrific songs with a cool and smooth attitude, topped off by Henry Rundell, this brilliant singer, and guitar soli in extended versions here and there - great stuff! Why did it take such a long time to present us with their debut? I have no clue - but you shouldn’t wait too long: go get a copy in case at least one of the mentioned bands is in your personal listening roster!
